Not only is this story amusing, it resonates so well with my beginner reader who also does not like loud noises! He *gets* Goat. And he loves that he can read this “big book” all by himself. The language hits just the right note of challenging but still accessible. And the story keeps readers on their toes. Love the energetic art, too! ~ Chiara
Let me just say that fainting goats are one of my favorite things even though it means they are stressed. GOAT’S BOAT WON’T FLOAT speaks to my Austism. Not only does goat need to wear headphones, but Goat also faints when stress hits. The illustrations are amazing. I will be ordering this for our counselors since it truly shows the stress of being Autie–VERDICT = LOVE! ~ CK
This book is hilarious and a pleasure to read aloud. Kids will be chiming in and laughing at goat … and his boat … and his oats. They’ll want to read this one over and over again, and the best part? Parents will too! Five stars, thumbs up, and a smile! ~ Gaby
This book will make you giggle your way through it—a fun, silly, and sweet story about a fainting goat, his turkey pal, and their journey to get oats … in a boat that won’t float. Larson’s use of short sentences and repetitive language will encourage kids to want to read it aloud for themselves or join in with whomever else is reading it to them. Illustrations include some of the text in art form, which increases the reader’s connection to the delightful art. A great gift for young readers! ~ Karen
Anxious, fearful Goat and loud, rambunctious Turkey are the Odd Couple of the animal world—and readers are going to fall in love with them and their antics. This book, with its colorful illustrations, will make for a fantastic read aloud! ~ Mary
